Founded by Christopher Allan and Elaine Kirk, Kitty Carers is a passion project born out of a love for cats and a desire to offer the best possible care for our feline companions. As lifelong cat owners, we understand how much cats value familiarity and comfort. By visiting cats in their own homes, we help minimise stress and ensure they feel safe and secure.
Our Story
The idea for Kitty Carers came to life when we realised the lack of specialised cat care services in our area. As dedicated cat lovers, we found it difficult to find professionals who truly understood the unique needs of our cats. We decided to create a service that would be a great benefit for cat owners like ourselves—people who see their cats as family and want nothing but the best for them.
From the very beginning, our mission has been clear: to offer compassionate, reliable, and personalised care that gives cat owners complete peace of mind. We’re not just looking after pets—we’re building relationships based on trust, understanding, and respect..
Our Credentials and Commitment
Christopher holds a Pet Sitting Diploma and certificate in Pet First Aid, ensuring that we’re equipped to handle any situation that may arise. Additionally, we’ve also undergone criminal record checks for added security, and we’re fully insured to offer pet care services. Our commitment to ongoing learning means we stay up-to-date with the latest in pet care, behaviour, and health.

Christopher has been a cat owner for most of his life and has been pet sitting for friends and family for many years due to having his own work from home business. With his background in technology, Christopher combines his love for cats with his skills in building an efficient, professional service. He manages day to day operations and ensures that all aspects of Kitty Carers run smoothly.
Elaine Kirk
Co-Founder
Elaine’s gentle and calm nature makes her a natural with cats. Her experience with feline care, combined with her keen attention to detail, ensures that even the most anxious cats feel safe and relaxed during our visits. Elaine is the Head of an Early Childhood Centre and will therefore provide support in evening and holiday visits. She loves nothing more than getting to know each cat’s unique personality.
